The BBC announced in their 2016 annual report plans to launch a subscription video on demand service in the US with the target audience of cult British TV followers.
BBC Worldwide is pumping a million pounds into the said video platform, which is aimed to compliment BBC America.
The service is predicted to cost less than the Netlflix current rate per month-$8.99 (£6.80). It will include British classics such as ‘Keeping Up Appearances,’ quality drama and documentaries and much more.
It can be predicted that both British Expats living in America and Americans who are interested in the British culture will receive this very well.
The BBC has not yet officially announced the site, but is confidents that it will become live within the next six months.
